JOAQUIN SAYS GOOD-BYE TO HIS FRIEND

For his sake I had no other choice but to say good-bye to my beautiful boy, Riley. I don’t think there’s anything I could have done to prepare myself for such heartache. I couldn’t even begin to tell anyone how much I miss him.

I’d do anything to see him one more time. He was my best friend and I loved him so much. I so desperately long to see him when I walk downstairs waiting for me. All I see is emptiness and a void that will never be filled.

I try my best to look forward to the next day because I know it’s what he would’ve wanted. In my years I have never met or seen something as beautiful as him. He had such a love for life and I carry that with me now.

Life will never be the same without you, Riley. Daddy loved you so much. Wherever you are now, know there isn’t a day I don’t think of you.

I thank the universe that out of every person in this world it chose me for you. Rest easy my beautiful boy. I’ll see you again one day.
